Creating the Hero

This week I have decided to take on what I consider to be one of the hardest task in development of an action RPG. Creating the 3d model of the main protagonist. While the task is not much different from creating any other 3d asset, there are a lot more factors to account for. First and foremost, the protagonist will be on screen the majority of gameplay. While player will overlook and forgive flaw in background objects, ie trees, box, buildings etc etc, imperfections will be seriousness criticized on a main character. Design the main character is a battle between imagination and capabilities. I will guide you through my battle to create the model which will become our hopeful main protagonist, Elle.

Stephen Covey author of 7 Habits of Highly Effective People list being with end in mind as 2nd important habit and in character creation this perhaps the most important ideal. The first step in Character Modeling is knowing you limitations. Depending on the game engine used and your target platform. At this point in time, we are using the Unity3D 4.5 game engine and planing for release PC with hope to expand to console. For me that means that I have target range of 3000 to 6000 triangles for my in-game model for optimal performance. Those of you who are looking to make mobile game have a range of 300 to 150 tris. More information on Unity’s design recommendation can be found here, http://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/ModelingOptimizedCharacters.html.

Now that the limitations have been set, ITS TIME TO GET INSPIRED!!  And the best way to do this, at least for me, is to play 20 Q’s with my character.

  • What is it’s species?
  • What is it’s gender?
  • What is it’s race/class/clan/tribe/alliance?
  • Describe the character physique? Height, size, weight,
  • What is the character’s overall mood and view of life?
  • What is character’s identifying feature? Hair, eye, and skin texture and color
  • and the list can go on and on…

Once you are satisfied with you answer, and you are blessed with the able to draw,  draw you creation multiple time at various angles and poses. Do not use previous drawing as references. Each time you draw the character you should see variations. Take each drawing you can draw a final form.

Now for those of you, much like myself, who struggle with drawing stick figure, use Google search and Deviant art for sample that fit your conditions.  For my character, Elle, I chose this image by Deviant Artist Xeromander.

RIley by Xeromander

The overall look match most of my choices and I will be making changes to the hair skin color to complete fit Elle persona.

Day 1. Let’s Get the Story Straight

Looking back at the surviving flies and documents, I realized one thing was and is missing from all the work we did, a strong,  logical, coherent story. Thanks to my team, we had good concept art, Motion capture for combat, a few high resolution model, and most of the basic reusable codes finished. But among these files, I found 7 different plots that I and others had written. The plots were ok but really didn’t work. Mainly because we know where the story ended , the main character achieving their goal, but not how how get there. Its like planing a get away weekend in Los Angeles. You book the hotel, buy tickets for a show, and map out the clubs. Then when the travel day comes, your realize you never thought about how to get to LA.
Many people quote the 7 Habits of highly Effective People, begin with the end in mind. However I think this is the wrong approach in game design. In a game, protagonist either completes the task set before him and defeats his rival. When I set down to redevelop my story, a line from the Tom Cruise movie Mission Impossible 2 opening scene kept coming to me.

Well, Dimitri, every search for a hero must begin with something every hero needs, a villain. So in a search for our hero, Bellerophon, we have created a more effective monster: Chimera.

Creating your villain sets up the entire story  almost instantly. In order to start developing the antagoinist a little researh into theather must be done. I sugguest research into Aristotle’s Poetics, the earliest surviving text describing the parts of a Tragic drama.

In creating my antagonist, I went back and looked at two of greatest villians of Video Gaming history, Ganondorf of the Legend of ZeldaSeries and Sephiroth of Final Fantasy VII.

Ganondorf/Ganon
In order to understand why villain does what he does, you must identify their tragic flaw. Ganondorf’s flaw is Gerudo hertiage.

The Legend of Zelda series is filled to the brim with fantastical characters but there are none more important to the lore than the intertwining fates of three; Link, Zelda and Ganondorf. While Link and Zelda are different people in each installment, related only by ancestry, Ganondorf remains the same man, allowing for a metamorphosis of character through each game. While his alter ego Ganon, appears in a majority of Zelda games to date, Ganondorf has only appeared in three; Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. This is my analysis of the evolution of Ganondorf; from his ancient origin to his fallen fate, how the bandit king would be known as The King of Evil.

A Tragic Origin (Skyward Sword/Ocarina of Time) –

Ganondorf was born into the Gerudo tribe of female thieves and raised by a surrogate mother/witch, Twinrova to be their king. The Gerudos themselves are cruel and dangerous warriors and no doubt raised Ganondorf to replicate these very characteristics. It is assumed that, during the period when no male king is present, that Gerudos reproduce by using Hylian soldiers thus Ganondorf, along with many other Gerudos born around the same time, has Hylian blood in him.

The desire to take is a trait given to him by his Gerudo blood, but his desire for power is something engraved into his fate.

Sephiroth

“A god complex is an unshakable belief characterized by consistently inflated feelings of personal ability, privilege, or infallibility. A person with a god complex may refuse to admit the possibility of error or failure, even in the face of complex or intractable problems or difficult or impossible tasks, or may regard personal opinions as unquestionably correct. The individual may disregard the rules of society and require special consideration or privileges.” -Wikipedia

So before we go any further, let it be stated that “God complex” is not an actual clinical disorder.  What we’re talking about here, in Sephiroth’s case, is an extremely arrogant and self-entitled personality.  Some spoilers ahead, if you haven’t managed to play Final Fantasy VII yet(which you should).

Sephiroth was created by splicing human DNA with that of an alien being known as Jenova.  Jenova came to the planet, looking to take control of its lifestream and basically use it as an interstellar space ship to conquer other planets.  Sort of like a living, breathing death star.  Sephiroth has no idea of this at the start of his life, and finds out later on, leading him to extremely conflicted feelings and basically breaking his mind.  He goes on to think himself the inheritor of his “mother’s” work, trying to use Meteor to bring out the lifestream of the planet by injuring it deeply, and then merging with the lifestream to take control.

Basically, Sephiroth is an arrogant bastard who actually has the power to back up his claims.  Cloud ends up being the only one capable of defeating him, and even he does so only at great cost.  Sephiroth exudes confidence in his god-like abilities, and the haughtiness that comes with it.  His hubris, in a way, leads to his downfall, however.

Future supervillains and gods of the world take note, hubris will always be your downfall.  If you have a chance to just straight-up off the plucky hero, take it.

A Fresh Start

A little of a year ago, I started a blog to chronicle the development of a RPG gaming project and give aspiring home developers a source for tutorials that were actually useful. Unfortunately, the best plans of mice and men often go awry. Shortly after the 2013 E3, I started a job which usurped the majority of my free time. Game Development and this Blog become a neglected. This month I have separated from my job , freeing a massive block of my time. As a means to maintain my sanity and skills in programming, CAD, graphic design sharp, I decide to get my prototype make where it need to be. While traveling for work, both my main and backup hard drives became corrupted(I blame TSA ), I am scrapping all previous work and starting from day one. Looking back at my notes and sketches, I have noticed a lot of flaws and my ways of thinking. I hope that I will be able to carry out my full intention and development before finding a new job which kills my time. So Welcome Back to Dreamers INC

Microsoft Xbox 180

Xbox one Crippled

As of June 19, Microsoft has caved into pressure from a mainly confused and uninformed gamer population and revamped the Xbox One, which I will refer to as the X1.1 for clarity reasons.  The new X1.1 reverts to current generation tactics, no online requirement, disc based authentication and current used game trade rules. As futurist and lover of gaming, I must say Microsoft; you have let us down and as company need to visit TV series of yesteryear for Dawson’s Creek, Family Matters and Cosby Show episodes on handling peer pressure.

Many are celebrating this as a victory for the consumer. What good is it to win the battle if you have lost the war? Before you go trotting victory over Big Bad Corporation, lets us look at the Xbox one we lost in the battle.  First and foremost is lost of a disc less system. The Xbox 1 original used the 24 hour phone to authenticate your games. Meaning after you installed the game to the hard drive it could be banished to your shelf forever and a day. No more resurfacing and placing cracked/scratch disc. While is still possible with digital downloads, I am nostalgic for crowd midnight release lines.  Next is the Family Share Plan.  The Xbox One Family Share Plan would allow up to ten Xbox One (not owned by you for people with multiple systems) to digital share games. After installing a game on your console, your chosen few friends would be apply to play you games anywhere on earth no limitations. Along with this you would be able to sign in you Xbox One from any Xbox One and play your games. You would never risk damaging or losing a beloved game to neglectful friend.

Most importantly, we lose the opportunity to have real competition between retailers for our hard earned gaming dollars. Xbox one was intend to be first step in creating a console version of the Steam network, as I have stated in the post State of Gaming. While many say the idea of lower games is an illusion, take an objective view at the world finances.  Through digital distribution and limitation of used games, publishers/developers would see a raise in profits. Digital sales have less overhead than physical retailers, IE stock, advertising, and leasing of locations. Because of this difference in Overhead, games could be offered at a lower price via digital download. Don’t believe me check out Advance auto parts website any day of the week or simply check out steampowered.com. Advance auto part offers 10-20 coupon codes for online pick up at store purchase. In effort to keep their own profits up and keep stocks of used games GameStop and other retailers would have to either price match digital prices or add value to the purchase.  Anyway you look at it when corporations compete, we win.

In closing, I say farewell Xbox One, I hardly even knew you. To Microsoft, the voice which screams loudest is not always the voice of the majority. I hope that one day the X1.1 will return the original Xbox One glory. Please do not let this creation follow the path of the Microsoft Courier.

Side Note: Hey Microsoft, maybe you could offer the DRM heavy Xbox One to those of us who embrace the Next generation of game. Or maybe even gives us the ability to turn the feature of Always online system on and off as needed.

State of Gaming

As E3 has come to an end, I have to say with much regret the state of gaming is bleak. It is not bleak because of our allegiances to Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo. It is bleak and dismal due to our addiction to antiquated ideal of ownership. I am not advocating the Xbox One over the Wii U or PS4. So sit back and have a moment of clarity. Lets start of the universal truth of gaming.

1) Gamers hate DRM & not having 100% ownership over their games

2) Developers & Publishers like being paid for their games

3) F2P games have no rights or DRM necessary as there is no ownership – it’s a service. The user just decides how much they want to invest in that service. So far, F2P is a very profitable business model and seen as superior to disc-based blockbusters in many ways.

4) As more developers move to F2P, Gamers lose their opportunity to own games altogether and now just pay monthly fees.

The Used Game market structure is destroying the future of gaming.  As consumerist, we wish to enjoy AAA blockbuster games, while spending as little money as possible. Many gamers flock to selling and buy used games as means to feed our addiction. It is unfortunate that something so noble is breaking our culture. Unfortunately, we are so dependent on used game that we are unable to see the damage it is creating. Due to the success of Game Stop and other used game retailers, developers have to make all their profits on games within the first 3 months of release. And while used games selling does drive the market for purchase of new games, is the $10 you will receive for Madden 13 really worth it?  A blog rant by Copycense in 2011 said it best.

To ensure return of the games, consumers who buy a games are bombarded with offers to turn them back in for credit. Each turned in game builds the used inventory, at no cost to Gamestop. When sold, the only person receiving the benefit, is Gamestop. When I put it this way . . . . I don’t want to say it sounds like laundering, but . . . . . They take a game unit a publisher should get paid for, run it though a consumer, and turn into a game unit they can sell over, and over, and over, and over without compensation to the publisher.

The PC game Total Halibut continues the point and invalidates a lot of points of contention on the used game subject.

The unfortunate effects of used games are Downloadable Content, DLC, and Free to Play/Pay to Win gaming becoming  more and more main stream. Developers are make DLC more or less essential for the game. The 1st owner will buy it, but also the 2nd and 3rd one and devs/publishers are again making money. Although the base game profit was “lost” after the first sale, new revenue is found. As more developers move to F2P, Gamers lose their opportunity to own games altogether and now just pay monthly fees. Zynga shut down 12 games apps.   One of them, Petville, still had one million monthly active users, and before at one point had 43 million.  The value of every object purchased evaporated, without warning, overnight.  How many people were still purchasing digital objects after Zynga knew the game was going to be shut down?   I am not pointing my finger only at Zynga, Star Wars Galaxies sold objects right up until the game was shut down.  Shutting down a game is simply a fact of life. But once the game is offline you lost all your money.

While I certainly see the value in physical property that you can hold and own and borrow and bend, I also see value in the elimination of used games. Here are five reasons why.

  1. Everything’s going digital anyway.
  2. The future could look a lot like Steam. Steam is convenient, easy to use, and, most importantly, fun. Its users don’t have to worry about buying used games because sales are frequent and affordable. I would certainly welcome similar platforms on any game console, even if it meant the death of used games
  3. Retailers will have to offer better deals.Without used games, GameStop will have to find a way to make up that bottom line. They’ll have to find ways to convince us to head out to the store instead of downloading new games at home. That could very well mean more discounts, more special sales, and better deals for customers.
  4. Games could be significantly more affordable. If publishers earn more for each game, is it out of the question to expect them to lower their prices? Games may continue to grow more and more expensive to create, but if they no longer have to live or die based on their first few months in the market, publishers might be able to justify selling them at lower costs.
  5. Publishers might take more risks. If no used games means more money in publishers’ pockets, we’ll reap the benefits. When publishers have to worry less about the bottom line, they have more liberty to take chances with independent games and studios.

New game only purchasing market, is coming and for many it is already here. Try and purchase a used games or Apps on PC, IOS, or Android. Steam has shown us the way but we are too stubborn to follow.Generally all PC games are $10 cheaper and come with $.99 or free DLC. On store.steampowered.com, as I write this

  • Dishonored $20.09 new Gamestop $27.99 used and $29.99 new
  • Saint’s Row IV Metro: Last Light and Remember Me $49.99 new Gamestop $54.99 used and $59.99 new

Arm yourself with the truth rather then ranting of mobs. Step out on your own.

Why I Think the Xbox One is Right for me

Let me start this off by state, I am not a Microsoft Fan. I love games and content regardless of the system. I have done so many system swap just to play exclusive titles that I have lost count. My happiest gaming day so far was when my apartment complex game room got 2 40 in LCDs with PS3 and Xbox 360 attached. After weeks of debate with my gamer/engineering friends and looking at the information put out at E3 press conferences, I think the Xbox One is logical choice for the next generation of gaming.

Always Online.

I know I will catch a lot of shit for this, but I have to give Microsoft kudos for being upfront and requiring daily check in. By1 now you are all thinking, I am Microsoft employee trying to win you back, not the case. Lets take an in depth at the third party games announced so far to understand why. A great start point is Bungie’s Destiny, which would be reason enough to buy a PS4 if it was an exclusive. Back in February, Bungie announced Destiny will require an internet connect to work(source 1 2 3 ).

Destiny is “Shared World Shooter” which in my understand and based on the gameplay trailer is much like the “Living World” from Guild Wars 2. It all boils down to must be online to play. EA/Ghost Games  is following Bungie with new Need For Speed: Rivals.  Rivals features a new social system called AllDrive. Rivals will be playable offline, the online world of All-Drive will bring together racers in a completely organic way.

To demonstrate this concept, EA showed off two player perspectives: one driver doing a little street racing, the other a cop on a chase. These players initially started playing alone, but the end result was multiplayer. How? By making the two racing experiences literally collide into each other. During the demo, the two racers overlapped, starting a cops-and-drivers chase that brought the two players together.

The idea of All-Drive is that players are racing in one unified world, and you may crash into another gamer’s race without even realizing it. The concept is intriguing, and the potential for a seamless transition between lone wolf racing and multiplayer sounds amazing. While Rivals is playable offline, you lose a lot by doing so.

Don’t forget about the second screen technology. This is honestly where Sony out shines Microsoft. As an adult, who moves around a lot, I need an adult handheld, not a toy DS. So if I am able to continue playing my games when I am on the road, kudos to Sony.  However a constant internet connection is require to do this, since the games will be stream to the Vita via the PS4 cloud Gaikia, not active at launch.

In the end, both consoles require a constant internet. The difference is X1 will stop you playing altogether, while the PS4 turns off most of the next generation features. It seems Microsoft went to its developers and ask what do you need in the next gen gaming console, while Sony plans to shifting the blame for internet connection requirement from the console to the developers. Daily check, no check, either way you will need internet to get the most out of your game.

Games and DRM

As far as games are concerned, I can sit here for days making an argument for either system. Both companies have announce a outstanding future line up. Personally, I am wondering can my budget handle two next gen systems or can I find someone local who I can trade systems with  to play InFamous Second Son. As for DRM, It will always existing until we are able to and willing to move to a digital game distribution similar to the Steam network. Having to put a disc in a drive is another form of DRM. Accept it and move forward.

Futureproof

The best thing about the X1 is that is almost for futureproof. It provides satisfaction for the entire family. With the Kinect 2.0 coming standard, you have something for the young children in your life like Ubisoft Raving Rabbids and the Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare. The kinect 2.0 improved specs make it decent for group game like DDR style game. With the kinect you can play differently. Check out this review of Ryse: son of Rome here. The PS4 does have a motion controller system, the PS Eye and PS Move $50USD each sold separately. Thus raising the PS4 price to the same as the Xbox One @ 499.

The X1 entertainment hub addition to your TV if you have the significant other that just not that into gaming. I can’t wait to see how fast game/app switching real is. Hopefully I will be able to sneak a few minutes of actual game during commercials of my GF’s favorite shows instead of load screens. The Smart Glass system looking like it will assist in helping me too make the most of out commercial breaks I hope.

The reason I say the X1 is almost future is Microsoft’s lack of handheld gaming system. Come on, Microsoft still is you 3 console and still no handheld system. Even Google Android has a handheld. With Sony’s requirement that all PS4 game be compatible with the Vita unless it needs component specific to the PS4 to run,  Microsoft is looking kind of slack in this department.

Final Thoughts

This new generation is all about whats going on in your life and what kind of gamer you are. Kinda like Goldilocks and the three bears, Casual gamer with children , the Wii U is where it is at. Hardcore Bachelor/Bachelorette gamer dormitory lifestyle, the PS4 seems to be more your style, and for the maturing adult gamer who maintains other interest there is the Xbox One. While I am still unsure of my selection(Lack of handheld), I can saying I am leaning to the Xbox with 68% certainty.

Which One is Right 4 Me?

Update Sony recants on DRM

After spend the day glue to screen watch E3 press conference, I must say there is not a better time to be a gamer than now.  But my real question is which system will satisfy my gaming needs for the coming future. Used games and always on don’t really effect me. I generally buy new and keep my games and maintain connected system anyway. When you break down both system, they are quite a lot alike. I am not trying to start a fanboy war, I just fail to see the difference that effect me.

Looks and Hardware

ps4-vs-xbox.jpg

One look at the two consoles and both are pretty similar to each other. Half matte, half patterned and something like a VCR from the 90s, it’s surprising how the two consoles look the same. That said here is how the two fare on what’s inside.

The Xbox One features a custom eight-core x86 CPU, a 500GB hard drive, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, USB 3.0, HDMI in and out ports, and WiFi. The Sony PS4 has an single-chip eight-core AMD Jaguar custom low power x86-64 APU with a Radeon based graphics engine, 8GB of GDDR5 RAM and a Blu-ray optical disc drive. Both firms have gone for custom AMD chips. Never system will be backwards compatible, although Sony will allow for streaming of PS3 games. Both consoles have DVR features, and each will let players upload their content for sharing with their peers. X1 will use Twitch and the PS4 will goto Ustream.

Games

e3-sony-games.jpg

Both Companies showcase a great selection of games that has every gamer drooling a little. Sony lineup: InFamous: Second Son, DriveClub, Killzone Shadow Fall. Xbox One: Ryse: Son of Rome, Killer Instinct, Dead Rising 3, Halo.

DRM and Online

Here is where Microsoft turns out to be a big flop. The gaming community thrives on second hand and rental games. Why? Because games at the end of it are certainly expensive. Microsoft recently announced that it would be restricting the game distribution where you can resell a game only through a game publisher. Also, with the Xbox One while each game can be shared, it can be shared only once. Now that happens to be extremely restrictive.

Sony on the other hand has announced that the Sony PlayStation 4 will not come with any such restrictions. The console like previous iterations will not limit disc sharing and continues to have the same used games policy. However maintain the physical disc is DRM itself.

Microsoft’s Xbox One offers only 24 hours of offline gaming. After the time period, the device needs to be reconnected to the Internet. This factor remains no matter what form your game is in – on the cloud or in a disc.

The Sony PS4 on the other hand stays true to the original tradition of gaming. While there are a host of features for the cloud and there are functionalities that let you record a game and upload the video in real-time with an option for you to take the controller of a friend across the continent, that is not where it ends. You need not connect to the Internet every 24 hours and can play games without it for as long as you want. While there are modern features as well, the traditional disc based gaming has been retained.

Look at the feature Developers’ have announce so far, ie second screen, ps vita connect and other feature, I believe a constant connection will be mandatory for player to get the most of their games. Sony is just leaving it to the developers to say you need to connect daily instead of mandating it from the console. Take Destiny for example, it requires an always on connection, the same goes for Need for Speed Rivals and Titanfall. So the PS4 might not need an active connection but the game sure do.

Bungie not concerned about Destiny's alwayson connection

Final Thoughts

When you cut through all bull, the only different is the price. Xbox One comes in a high $499 USD wile the PS4 sit at $399 USD. If you choose to include the PS Eye and Move for this generation, there is no price difference. So beside exclusive content, the PS4 and Xbox One are the same system, one just comes with motion control. I was hoping Sony would put a nail in the decision coffin for me but I am more stuck in the middle then ever.

The Final show of the night Sony. Can Sony take advantage of the Microsoft early show and feel the voids?

It looks as if Sony is having some technical difficulties. 15 min deal rough start for Sony. Is the boot time we will see on the PS4?

Welcome to the new age.

PSP Vita will see a line of up new games include God of War, Final Fantasy X/X-2 Flower and Dead Nation are coming to PS Vita, as is The Walking Dead. It comes in a newbundle in August, plus “400 Days” and other bonus content. “We’re making the Vita the ultimate companion device for PS4,” Tretton says.

Look at the PS3 Last of Us, Puppeteer, Rain, Beyond:Two Souls (answer to MGS), Gran Transimo , Batman Arkham City Origins, GTA V and a GTA V exclusive bundle for 299 available in September. I think this generation of console are not going anywhere soon.

We finally see the PS4 and to me it look like the Xbox One on slant .

Here's what the PS4 looks like

Back in February, Sony gave us a good look at the new DualShock 4 controller and PS4 Eye camera, but no console. For months, gamers haven been chomping at the bit to ogle the curves and/or angles of the PlayStation 4 console. Today, during its pre-E3 keynote, Sony finally delivered. Look, it’s a gamer console!

It seems that sound is following the Microsoft Xbox one reveal and talking about Media integration.

Finally the moment, we are looking for games. First up PS4 exclusive original IP The Order, a FPS monster hunter. Sony’s show is extreme let down it. It nothing but extended trailers no real information about gameplay or what we gamers can expect. We’re only seeing a sneak peek today. The demo is entitled “The Dark Sorcerer” .Quantic Dream’s demo is in real-time.

Indie Game The creators of Bastion Super Giant games present their new hit Transistor which was reviewed and demo back in April. There will be an Indie section of the PlayStation Store

Final Fantasy XII versus is now Final Fantasy XIV. And now a Kingdom Hearts 3 in Development. Both game seem to have the action style combat tease in  Lighting’s Return. We’re seeing a demo of Assassin’s Creed 4 now. Protagonist Kenway is walking through a pirate beachside camp, lit up by bonfires on the sand. We’re crawling into a beautiful jungle lit in the moonlight. The demo keeps hitching – technical difficulties! A second look at Watch Dogs.

A trailer for The Elder Scrolls Online starts up, showing off some of the environments in the game.Boyes says a beta for ESO will be available exclusively on PS4. This next trailer starts with a man exiting a car, stopping to investigate a body left alone in the desert. The man begs for death, but the gun-toting figure ignores him and drives off. He only has a single bullet in his shotgun. Oh, but the car comes back and runs him over. It’s Mad Max.

Image

Warner Bros, and Avalanche Studios are working on Mad Max – PlayStation owners get the “rogue warrior survival kit” exclusively. 140 Games in development for PS4 40 with exclusixe game content. No used game restrictions, could be backleash from developers later. But Power to the gamers for now. No internet connection require. However looking at developers content so far it will be necessary to get the most out of games.

Destiny Premiere Image

A ship flies over, drawing the attention of aliens in red garb. They give chase, scurrying across a cluster of abandoned cars. We’re in Old Russia, which we see from a first-person perspective. The two characters in play so far are Warlock and Hunter classes. Both move toward a large, reinforced wall. There’s a network of tunnels within the wall. The Warlock is casting fireballs, while the Hunter takes potshots with a large revolver. They pick up loot after the fight. It’s the “thunderlord,” an exotic heavy weapon. A quick trip to an equip screen and its active. Destiny Will BE AN EXTREMELY GREAT GAME.

The price will be $400.

Whats your take on the PS4?
